The DAES CT at a concert at the Philharmonie

On 20th October 2025, the DAES CT-Jour students had the opportunity to attend a concert at the Philharmonie featuring the Solistes Européens. The evening opened with the world premiere of a piece by Luxembourgish composer Christophe Mirkes. We then listened to the talented cellist Benjamin Kruithof, who performed Camille Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No. 1 in A minor, op. 33 with great virtuosity. After the intermission, we enjoyed Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s Symphony No. 3 in A minor, op. 56 “Scottish”.

We are very grateful to Anik Schwall for helping us establish the connection with the Solistes Européens. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Christophe Mirkes (composer) and Christoph König (conductor) for the insightful conversation after the concert.
