What are the characteristics of the job?
Inclusion officers, who hold a Vocational Aptitude Diploma Inclusion, work with people with special needs and/or disabilities, employees on integration programmes in sheltered workshops and children and young people with special needs who require ongoing individual support. This profession contributes to the well-being and independence of people in difficulty. It’s a rewarding profession, offering stimulating and gratifying experiences throughout your working life.
Inclusion officers accompany the person with special needs in the formal and non-formal education sector in order to provide practical help and facilitate integration. They are also responsible for supporting disabled people in their professional activity and support senior citizens with special needs in their activities.
The inclusion officer’s main tasks include the following:
- to organise activities for seniors with special needs;
- to provide individual assistance for people with special needs;
- to provide individual, social and professional monitoring of employees on integration programmes and to help them on their integration path by providing them with individual supervision;
- to support children and young people with special needs so that they can participate in everyday life wherever they wish.
What is the objective of the training?
DAP Inclusion vocational training provides students with theoretical, general and vocational education at school and practical training in institutions/workplaces, enabling them to obtain a vocational qualification sanctioned by the Vocational Aptitude Diploma (DAP).
The DAP Inclusion course aims to train professionals capable of actively contributing to the creation of inclusive communities by developing essential skills.
What does the course involve?
The DAP Inclusion course, organised in the form of an apprenticeship for adults, normally lasts 3 years and is run at ENAD under a concurrent programme (under an apprenticeship contract).

Admission deadlines and procedures

Registration
Candidates must register for an adult apprenticeship with ADEM (see notice below). Apply (normally from May of the school year preceding entry) to ADEM at the following addresses:
Decision
An advisory committee will decide on the access and admission of candidates who have submitted a complete application. Applicants will be informed by letter of the decision of the Adult Apprenticeship Advisory Board.

Search for a training company
Candidates will be looking for a training employer with a view to signing an apprenticeship contract (required for admission to an adult apprenticeship).
Access to classes
Once apprentices have received their assignment from ADEM, they make an appointment with ENAD to register for the course. The following documents must be presented:

- exact details of the training company (address, name and telephone number of the workplace tutor)
