Who is this class for?
Evening courses are intended primarily for students who work alongside studying at ENAD (with an employment contract of at least 20 hours). Exceptions to this condition may be granted on request (e.g. people on parental leave, job seekers, etc.).
What does this class consist of?
The DAES enables adults to gain general access to higher/university education. The course comprises a two-semester preparatory class (if required) and a two-semester final class with a final exam, the successful completion of which gives access to higher education.
In this type of training, the weekly face-to-face part (3 evenings) is reduced to the volume strictly necessary, so as not to prevent students from working. The rest of the work necessary for school will be carried out by the students independently, according to their availability.
The classes alternate over a six-week period, consisting of a Block A (with a number of the 6 chosen modules) and a Block B (with the remaining modules).
An e-learning platform has been set up to provide course materials and enable distance communication with teachers.
A word of advice from the DAES team: please don’t underestimate your personal investment in the DAES evening class.

Admission deadlines and procedures
Registration deadlines for the preparatory year and the final year of the DAES:
Candidates wishing to join the DAES programme and who meet the conditions laid down in article 5 of the Grand-Ducal regulation on the organisation of preparatory modules giving access to higher education within the framework of adult education must submit a full application using the digital forms on this page.
Admission procedure for the preparatory and the final year for the DAES Evening class:
The letter of motivation that each student must submit sets out the reasons why he or she wants to start the course, as well as specifying a concrete professional and/or academic project after the DAES (minimum 500 words) – if these elements are ignored, the DAES team cannot accept the application!
The DAES team, in agreement with the school management, selects the students on the basis of the application file and the interview each student has to undergo. At the end of July, a first group of students receives a communication from the DAES team (acceptance to the course, waiting list, refusal). A final selection will be made at the end of August/beginning of September. Please note: places on the DAES programme (day class, evening class and DAES International) are limited.
Registrations for 2025/2026 will open on 15 April 2025 and close on 18 July 2025. Please note: registration for candidates who must sit the admission tests will close on 15 May 2025. The admission tests will be held on 20 and 21 May 2025. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
