What are the characteristics of the job?
Cooks with a DAP are mainly involved in preparing meals. They may work in canteens, hospitals, schools, inns, hotels and restaurants of any size and type.
The holder of a CCP assists kitchen staff in their work.
What is the objective of the training?
Vocational training as a cook provides students with general, theoretical and practical education, enabling them to obtain a vocational qualification that is recognised by the Vocational Aptitude Diploma (DAP).
What does this training consist of?
The training leading to a cook’s diploma normally lasts 3 years, the first year of which is offered at ENAD in the form of a full-time year at the school with work placements. The aim is to enable students to enter the world of work or to continue their studies with a view to obtaining a technician’s diploma or a Master craftman’s diploma.
Please note: This profession is accessible via the CCP and DAP diplomas. DAP holders will have more responsibility in their day-to-day work than CCP holders.

At the time of your appointment, a short interview will be conducted with the candidate to identify his/her study and career plans. Courses start in September of each academic year.
