1SGEA : Author’s Day

June 17, 2025 was a true highlight in the calendar of the 1SGEA class: the Authors’ Day was a big success and marked a fitting end to the training year in Module 04. In addition to the great spaces at IFEN’s f.use, the event also marked a lively and joyful first moment for our new ENAD library in Belval…

Annick Sinner, Sally Weyland, Myriam Karels, and Diane Orban – four talented Luxembourgish authors and illustrators – led three workshops with our learners. They not only gave fascinating insights into their work, but also showed how children’s books can be used creatively and vividly in educational practice – and how to invent beautiful stories even without a book.

With great commitment and passion, they inspired our future educators – there was laughter, listening, storytelling, illustrating, and discussion. The workshops were full of inspiration and knowledge for everyday professional life.

A heartfelt thank you to Annick, Sally, Myriam, and Diane for their outstanding dedication, their impressive creativity, and their contagious joy in sharing. You opened hearts, conjured wolves from the forest, calmed mischievous foxes, and filled empty boxes and shoes with enchanted life!
